- אֲסִיסְנָא
- אֲסִיסְנָאm. (redupl. of אסן) granary, storehouse. Pl. אֲסִיסְנֵי. Pes.4a אכיף ימא א׳ ביראתא on the sea-shore granaries are palaces. (Oth. opin., taking אסיסנא fr. אסס, cmp. אשש, I would establish (build) palaces. Oth. opin., reading אסנא or taking our w. to be = אַסְנָא, at the seashore thorn-bushes (a thorn-bush) pass(es) for cypresses (a cypress); v. ברותא. Gitt.69a, v. סִיסָנָא.
